The Tales of the Kingdom Trilogy is a super cool series of three books. It's like a big story told through smaller, hidden meanings, called an allegory. The books are Tales of the Kingdom (from 1983), Tales of the Resistance (from 1986), and Tales of the Restoration (from 1996). David and Karen Mains wrote all three exciting adventures. This series even won a special prize, the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) Gold Medallion Award, for being a great children's book series!

Tales of the Kingdom
This first book introduces you to a character named Scarboy. He seems to attract adventure and danger everywhere he goes! This is especially true in the Enchanted City. In this city, people who are seen as "imperfect" are sent away. Also, orphans are made to work as slaves.
Scarboy manages to escape from the evil Enchanter. He finds safety in a place called Great Park. But his biggest challenge is still ahead. Scarboy will need a lot of courage to face his greatest fear and win!
Tales of the Resistance
This second book in the trilogy has 12 exciting stories. It follows a hero who joins an underground taxi resistance group. This group is fighting against the evil Enchanter. The Enchanter is trying to challenge the one true King.
You'll meet many interesting characters in this book. Some of them are Carny, Doubletalk, Sewer Rat #1, and the Boiler Brat. There's also the Most Beautiful Player of All. They all work together in this secret fight!
Tales of the Restoration
Tales of the Restoration is the final book in the Kingdom Tales trilogy. In this story, things are finally starting to get better! The "restoration" has begun.
Even with power outages and dangers at a place called Burning Place, our heroes are ready. They want to celebrate life under the King's rule. They are looking forward to a big party called the Great Celebration!
