The group has four main members: Guled Abdi, Vance Banzo, Tim Blair, and Franco Nguyen. Before their TV show, they performed live on stage for many years. They used to call themselves "TallBoyz II Men."
One of their most famous stage shows was called A 6ix NNNNNN Revue. This show won an award for Best Comedy at the Toronto Fringe Festival in 2018. The name of the show, A 6ix NNNNNN Revue, was a playful nod to a Toronto newspaper called Now. This newspaper uses N's instead of stars to rate movies, music, and plays. For example, five N's means it's excellent!

How They Got Started
The idea for the TV show came about after a famous comedian named Bruce McCulloch saw the TallBoyz perform. Bruce McCulloch is known for being part of another famous Canadian comedy group called The Kids in the Hall. He saw the TallBoyz at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival in 2018. He and Susan Cavan then helped produce their TV series.
TallBoyz in the USA
In March 2022, the TallBoyz TV series began airing in the United States. It was shown on a TV channel called Fuse. This helped more people outside of Canada discover their funny sketches.
