What TRRI Does: Research Units
TRRI has different teams, or "units," that work on various parts of rice research. These units help make rice farming better.
- Crop Improvement: This unit works on making new and stronger types of rice plants. They try to create rice that can grow well in different conditions or resist diseases.
- Crop Management: This team studies the best ways to grow rice. They look at things like how much water to use, what kind of soil is best, and how to protect the plants.
- Plant Protection: This unit focuses on keeping rice plants healthy. They find ways to stop pests and diseases from harming the crops.
