Tanapag is a small community located on the island of Saipan. Saipan is part of the Northern Mariana Islands, a group of islands in the Pacific Ocean. Tanapag is found on the northwest coast of Saipan, right next to Tanapag Beach.
This community is just north of Capital Hill. Capital Hill is important because it's where the government of the Northern Mariana Islands is located. Tanapag is also on Marpi Road, which is also known as Highway 30. This road runs along the northwest coast of the island.
The area around Tanapag Beach was a very important place during a big historical event. In 1944, there was a lot of fighting here during the Battle of Saipan. This battle was a major part of World War II.

The schools in Tanapag are managed by the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Public School System. This system runs all the public schools in the area.
