Early Life and Career Beginnings

Tanedra Howard grew up in Inglewood, California. She went to Santa Monica College and El Camino College. Before becoming an actress, she worked at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. She was an attractions hostess there.

In 2006, Tanedra tried out for a TV show called I Wanna Be a Soap Star 3. About 500 actors auditioned for the show. Even though she was chosen to try out, she did not make it onto the show.

Winning Scream Queens

In 2008, Tanedra's roommate saw an advertisement for a new TV show. It was for an acting competition called Scream Queens on VH1. Even though Tanedra had no acting experience, she decided to audition. She was chosen to be one of the contestants.

Tanedra spent about five and a half weeks competing on the show. She faced weekly challenges with nine other actors. She worked hard and won the competition! Winning Scream Queens earned her a role in the movie Saw VI. In the film, she played a character named Simone.
