Taylor Creek has an interesting past. Long ago, in the 1800s, this area was known by a different name. It was called Sheartown. Over time, the name changed to Taylor Creek.

Taylor Creek is found in the southwestern part of Colerain Township. It is about 15 miles northwest of downtown Cincinnati. The Great Miami River forms its western and northern borders.
