Teague Moriarty is a famous American chef. He was born on April 21, 1983, in Santa Cruz, California. He is well-known for his restaurant in San Francisco called Sons & Daughters. This restaurant even earned a special award called a Michelin star! Teague has also opened two other restaurants in San Francisco: The Square and Sweet Woodruff.
Becoming a Chef
Teague grew up in Northern California. He learned a lot about cooking from different places around the San Francisco Bay Area. His journey in the kitchen started with baking at Emily's Bakery in Santa Cruz.
He also worked at other restaurants. These included Limón Rotisserie in San Francisco and B Restaurant & Bar in Oakland. He even worked at Gregoire in Berkeley.
Opening Sons & Daughters
In 2004, Teague met Matt McNamara at the California Culinary Academy. They became good friends. Together, Teague and Matt decided to open their own restaurant.
In 2010, they launched Sons & Daughters in San Francisco. This restaurant quickly became very popular. It even earned a prestigious Michelin star.
From Farm to Table
Teague and Matt wanted to make sure their food was super fresh. So, in 2013, they started their own farm! It's called Dark Hill Farm. This farm grows fresh produce and raises livestock.
The farm is located in Santa Cruz. It provides ingredients only for the Sons & Daughters Restaurant Group. This helps them control the quality of their food. The farm is not open to the public.
