Telico is a small, unincorporated community. It is located in northeastern Ellis County, Texas, in the United States. You can find it right on Highway 34. Being "unincorporated" means it's a community without its own local government, but it's still a recognized place.
Telico's History
People started settling in the area that would become Telico before the year 1856. At first, the community was called Trinity City. However, in the mid-1850s, its name was changed to Telico. This new name came from another place called Telico, which is located in North Carolina.
The town of Telico grew because of farming. For many years, it had a special building called a cotton gin. Farmers used this gin to separate cotton fibers from their seeds. This was a very important tool for local agriculture. In the early 2000s, the old cotton gin was updated. It was turned into a place where people could hold weddings and other events.

- Clyde Barrow was born near Telico. He was part of a famous duo known as Bonnie and Clyde. They traveled across the central United States during the Great Depression. This was a time in the 1930s when many people faced economic hardship.
