Terra Mítica is a fun theme park located in Benidorm, Spain. It opened in the year 2000. The park is split into five cool areas, each with a different theme: Egypt, Greece, Rome, Iberia, and the Islands (which are about the Mediterranean Sea).

A few years after it opened, a company called Paramount Parks helped manage Terra Mítica for a while. Later, the park became independent again. Over time, Terra Mítica worked hard to improve its finances and become more successful.

In 2008, the park added new areas. These included a free-access zone with shops and restaurants, plus an outdoor adventure park. In 2013, Terra Mítica changed how it worked. It split into two separate parks: Iberia Park and Terra Mítica. Iberia Park first offered free entry, but you had to buy tokens for rides. Later, it also required a ticket to enter. Terra Mítica is the main park where you pay once to enter, and all the rides inside are free.

In 2016, the Luxor Hotel opened right next to the park. Around this time, the park's open season became shorter, but ticket prices went up. In 2021, it seemed like only Iberia Park was open, and some of its bigger rides were closed.

Terra Mítica is designed with five exciting themed areas. Each area makes you feel like you've traveled to a different ancient place:

  • Egypt
  • Greece
  • Rome
  • Iberia
  • The Islands - This area is inspired by the old cultures and history of the Mediterranean Sea.

In 2008, two more areas were added near the park entrance:

  • Ocionía - This is a free area with themed shops, well-known restaurants, and some rides you pay for as you go.
  • Atalaya - This is an outdoor adventure course with fun challenges for both kids and adults.
