How It Got Its Name
This plant was first officially named Tetragonia tetragonoides by a botanist named Kuntze. However, that name was used incorrectly for a while. Then, in 1997, a scientist named M. Gray gave it its current name, Tetragonia moorei. This new name was published in a science journal called Telopea.
