Tetsuo Takashima was born in Okayama, Japan, in 1949. He studied at Keio University and later worked as a researcher. He even studied abroad at the University of California.

He became a member of the Mystery Writers of Japan in 1995. Later, in 2000, he joined the Japan Writer's Association. One of his books, Midnight Eagle, was even made into a movie in 2007!
