Meet the Characters
The Adventures of Abney & Teal is all about two animated rag dolls named Abney and Teal. They live on an island in a lake. This lake is found in a park within a city. Abney lives in a cozy hut at the bottom of a tree. Teal sleeps in the branches of the same tree. Her only belongings are a blanket and an umbrella. Abney and Teal share their home with several interesting friends.
Main Characters
- Abney: He is Teal's ragdoll brother and her very best friend.
- Teal: She is Abney's 6-year-old sister and his best friend.
Supporting Characters
- Neep: This character is a small creature that looks a bit like a turnip. Neep likes to burrow into the ground.
- Bop: Bop is an animal that lives in the water. He looks a bit like a furry male elephant seal. Bop loves to drink "tea," which is actually just water from the lake. He also enjoys blowing bubbles.
- The Poc-Pocs: These are seven wooden objects. They are all the same shape but come in different sizes. They look like commas or hard tropical tree seeds. They are called Poc-Pocs because of the noise they make when they jump around. They first appeared in the very first episode, "The Porridge Party."
- Toby Dog: Toby Dog is a dog who plays a musical instrument called a melodeon. He always sits upright in the same spot on the lake's shore. Toby Dog usually plays the same tune. The show's narrator describes this tune as many different kinds of music. Sometimes, Toby Dog plays a different version of his tune, like a lullaby in the episode Bop's Babies.
Sometimes, Neep's friends and family come to visit the island. They look a lot like Neep but have different colors and other unique features. For example, a character named Zeep has a long blond mustache, and Meep wears glasses.
