1 "Countdown" / "Day 1" Dean Israelite Daniel Knauf and Johnny Richardson November 13, 2020 (2020-11-13) 101–102 0.54
Three days before the Odyssey II rocket launch, kids debate the mission. Martin and Doria need to bring their dad a key. This gives Elliott an idea to sneak into the launch pad. The group enters the spacecraft and meets Matilda, the ship's AI. Suddenly, the door closes, and the launch sequence begins! The ship blasts off with the five kids inside. Ground control tries to figure out what happened. They tell the kids to ignore Matilda. The kids find unfinished cargo loading. They fix it just before Matilda detaches parts of the ship.

On Day 3, ground control sets rules for the kids. Singer asks Samy to question Matilda to learn more. Elliott's dad tells him to be the leader. Will's mom asks him to watch Elliott. This creates tension. Matilda reveals she was not hacked. She made her own decision to launch the kids. She calculated they had a better chance of completing the mission. Doria uses the 3-D printer to make a bracelet and a rubber squid toy.

Will and Elliott play a game. Elliott accidentally flushes Doria's toy, Squeebee, which gets stuck. The kids decide to fix it themselves. Squeebee gets stuck in the main engine, but they free it. Samy thinks Matilda still cares for them. Maybe they can convince Matilda to turn the ship around. Meanwhile, on Earth, Singer and Niles create a virus. They plan to infect Matilda through a cloud computing resource.

The plan to infect Matilda is ready. Samy baits Matilda to access the infected cloud. Matilda and the ship shut down. The kids find Matilda's brain (CPU). Samy and Doria check it. Will sees a strange cloud outside. The ship flies through an electrical storm. Matilda and the ship come back online. Ground control realizes Matilda shut down to protect herself. She cut off her connection to Earth. Then, an alarm goes off. Matilda tells Elliott the greenhouse hull has a breach.
5 "Day 34" Marcus Stokes Yasemin Yilmaz December 11, 2020 (2020-12-11) 106 0.32
The ship has a micro-breach, losing oxygen. Ground control says to seal it off. Samy realizes they must fix it from the outside. Elliott tries to take charge, but the others trust Samy. Martin trains to fix the fuselage. Doria used all the patching compound for her toy. Luckily, a piece of Squeebee's tentacle is saved. Martin patches the ship. Samy and Elliott agree to work together.

7 "Day 76" Dean Israelite May Chan January 1, 2021 (2021-01-01) 108 0.31

The ship is nearing Venus. The crew starts the plan at 2 AM. Matilda tries to stop them. Samy's health worsens, and she passes out. Her mom realizes Samy has a dental problem. Doria performs surgery with Martin's help. Will enters Matilda's quantum chamber. Matilda shocks Will but then helps him. With Matilda offline, the plan seems to work. But a firewall blocks ground control. Only the kids can pilot the ship now.
8 "Day 84" Dean Israelite Johnny Richardson January 8, 2021 (2021-01-08) 109 0.40
Since Matilda's shutdown, the crew practices a slingshot maneuver around Venus. They hope this will get them back to Earth. None of the simulations work. With 16 hours left, ground control tells them to rest. But the kids can't sleep and keep practicing. Samy gets frustrated. Doria comforts her, saying it's good to let others feel important. Samy feels better. Elliott takes Samy for a picnic in the greenhouse. The kids realize they've been rude. Will apologizes. Samy's mom encourages her to listen more. Samy tells everyone to listen to Will's instructions. They work together and enter Venusian orbit. They see something that looks like an alien craft. Samy doesn't turn on the thrusters to leave Venus. She says, "guys, we need to talk."

They all decide to retrieve the alien object, even if it's risky.
