"The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson" is a famous episode from the TV show The Simpsons. It was the first episode of the ninth season. This episode first aired on September 21, 1997.
In this story, the Simpson family goes on an adventure to New York City. They need to get back their family car. Homer's friend, Barney Gumble, borrowed the car one night. He then left it parked in the World Trade Center plaza. While the rest of the family explores the city, Homer faces many funny problems trying to get his car back.
After the sad events of September 11 attacks in 2001, this episode was not shown on TV for a while. This was because the World Trade Center buildings were a big part of the episode. However, in recent years, the episode has started to be shown again.
