The idea for Nicktropolis started a long time ago, in November 2004. Developers worked hard to build this virtual world. By late 2005, they began testing it to make sure everything worked well.
The game first became available to some special members on January 6, 2007. Soon after, on January 30, 2007, Nicktropolis officially opened to everyone. Kids from all over could then join and explore the world.
Why Nicktropolis Ended
Nicktropolis was a popular place for a few years. However, all good things sometimes come to an end. The game eventually closed down. This happened because Nickelodeon updated its main website. The old message board for Nickelodeon also closed around the same time.
