The Story of Friendship
The story of The English Roses is about four girls. Their names are Charlotte, Amy, Grace, and Nicole. They all go to the same school in London. They also live in the same area and do many fun things together. They enjoy summer picnics and ice-skating in the winter.
Meeting Binah
The girls are jealous of a girl named Binah. She lives nearby. They think Binah's life is perfect. They do not like how pretty she is or how popular she is at school. The English Roses often ignore Binah. They even make mean plans against her.
A Lesson Learned
One day, the mother of one of the Roses talks to the girls. She tells them not to judge people just by how they look. That night, the English Roses have a sleepover picnic. They all have the same dream.
In their dream, a special fairy godmother visits them. She sprinkles them with magic dust. This magic takes them to see Binah's life at her home. The girls are surprised by what they see. Binah is actually very lonely.
Her mother passed away when Binah was young. She lives with her father in a small house. Binah spends most of her time cooking and cleaning. The fairy godmother tells the English Roses to be kinder. She asks them to think more nicely about others in the future.
Five English Roses
The English Roses feel bad about how they treated Binah. They decide to invite her to join their group. Soon, they become very good friends with her. They go on picnics, to dances, and to parties together. The girls share all their favorite things with Binah. The story ends with five English Roses, as Binah becomes one of them.
