The Fashion Mall at Keystone, often called The Fashion Mall, is a popular shopping center in Indianapolis, Indiana. It's known for its many upscale stores and restaurants. The mall is located near I-465 at 86th Street and Keystone. It is a key part of the Keystone at the Crossing area.

This mall is owned and managed by Simon Property Group. It has many well-known anchor stores. These include Nordstrom, Pottery Barn, The North Face, Apple Store, Urban Outfitters, Restoration Hardware, Crate & Barrel, and Saks Fifth Avenue. The Fashion Mall has two buildings, each with two floors. When it first opened, a glass archway called "The Crossing" connected them. This archway also served as the mall's food court. Today, "The Crossing" is used for more shops. The mall has 123 different stores and places to eat. Many of these stores can only be found in Indiana at this mall.

Sometimes, people call this area Keystone/Clearwater. This name comes from the large Clearwater Crossing development nearby. That development is named after Lake Clearwater.

Exploring The Fashion Mall

The Fashion Mall is a great place to find many different kinds of stores. It has a wide variety of shops, from clothing to home goods. You can also find many restaurants to enjoy a meal.

What are Anchor Stores?

Anchor stores are the largest and most well-known stores in a shopping mall. They often attract many shoppers. At The Fashion Mall, big anchor stores include Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue. These stores help bring people to the mall.

Unique Shops and Dining

The Fashion Mall is special because many of its stores are the only ones in Indiana. This means you can find unique items here. There are also many restaurants, offering different types of food. Whether you want a quick bite or a sit-down meal, you'll find options.

History of The Fashion Mall

The Fashion Mall first opened in the early 1970s. It was a small luxury mall at that time. Next to it was another shopping center called The Bazaar. The Bazaar had many small, family-owned shops.

Over the years, The Fashion Mall grew bigger. It had many updates and expansions. Eventually, The Bazaar building was taken down to make room for the growing mall. Many other shops and restaurants have been built around the mall since then. The area around The Fashion Mall and Clearwater Crossing is now a long stretch of shops. It connects to the Castleton Square Mall area, which is about 3 miles away.

Today, The Fashion Mall is a major shopping spot for the region. It is two stories tall and covers a large area. The two main buildings are still connected by "The Crossing" archway. This archway used to be the food court. In 2011-2012, the food court moved to a new spot.

Past Stores and Changes

The Fashion Mall has seen many stores come and go. For example, a store called Jacobson's used to be an anchor here. It was the only Jacobson's in Indiana. Later, Saks Fifth Avenue took its place, and it is also the only Saks Fifth Avenue in the state. Another store, Parisian, became Nordstrom in 2008. Nordstrom is now the only one of its kind in Indiana.

Some of the largest stores in the mall today are Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue. Crate & Barrel opened in 2005, and Tiffany & Co. opened in 2006.
