A New Case in Kirkcaldy

A Mysterious Murder
Fox visits Paul's uncle, Alan Carter. Alan was the one who reported Paul. But then, Alan is killed! Paul is made to look like the killer. Now, Fox and his team have a bigger mystery to solve. They must find the real killer. They also have to work around other police groups. These groups include the local Kirkcaldy police and a special team from London.
Uncovering Old Secrets
The 1985 Mystery
When Fox met Alan Carter, Alan was looking into an old case. It was about the strange death of a lawyer named Francis Vernal in 1985. Vernal was involved with a group of Scottish nationalists in the 1980s. This group, called Dark Harvest, was trying to use a dangerous substance.
Fox's Obsession
Fox becomes very interested in Vernal's story. This is because Vernal's death seems similar to Alan Carter's murder. Fox talks to many people who knew Vernal. These include his old law partner, his wife, and even a TV personality.
Finding the Truth
Fox eventually figures out who killed both Vernal and Carter. But catching the killer is very risky. Fox has to put his own life in danger to bring them to justice.
Where Does This Book Fit?
