The Kenilworth

The Kenilworth is a beautiful, 12-story apartment building in Manhattan, New York City. It stands on a famous street called Central Park West, right next to Central Park. This grand building was finished in 1908. It was designed by architects Townsend, Steinle and Haskell.

The building was named after Kenilworth Castle, a very old castle from the 12th century. The Kenilworth is part of a special area called the Central Park West Historic District. This means it's an important old building that helps tell the story of New York City's past.

The outside of The Kenilworth looks much like it did when it was first built. It has walls made of carved limestone and red bricks. The only changes have been to the windows, which were originally wood.

The entrance of the building has special columns that look like they have bands around them. The roof of The Kenilworth is a unique style called a mansard roof. Residents can also enjoy a shared terrace on the rooftop, which is a common area for everyone living there.
