How The Land Works

The Land is run by a group called the Association Of Voluntary Organisations In Wrexham (Avow). It has been open since 2011. The playground offers a safe and fun place for children and young people. Kids from five to sixteen years old can come and play freely.

Who Helps at The Land?

There are usually between 6 and 12 adults called "playworkers" at The Land. These playworkers are not like regular teachers or supervisors. Their job is to help kids feel safe and confident. They encourage children to take risks and explore their ideas. They also make sure everyone plays nicely together. The Land is part of bigger play programs in Plas Madoc. These programs also include "Street Play" and "Get Out and Play."

What Can You Find There?

The play area is fenced in for safety. Inside, it's filled with all sorts of interesting materials. You might see piles of pallets, a whole tonne of tires, and old boats.
