The Last Kinection is an Indigenous hip-hop group from Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. This cool band started in 2006. It was formed by Joel Wenitong, DJ Jay Tee, and Naomi Wenitong. Joel and DJ Jay Tee were part of another group called Local Knowledge. Naomi Wenitong was known from the music group Shakaya. The Last Kinection first became famous for their new version of the Peter Allen song, "I Still Call Australia Home".

Joining Elefant Traks
In June 2010, The Last Kinection officially joined a record label called Elefant Traks. This label is based in Sydney, Australia. Elefant Traks released the band's second album, Next of Kin, in 2011.
Touring and Performances
In 2009, The Last Kinection had an amazing chance to open for the famous hip-hop group Public Enemy. After that, they went on a big tour across Australia, starting in July. They shared their music with many fans.
Awards and Achievements
The Last Kinection has won several special awards for their music. These awards are called the Deadly Awards.
