The Mamas & The Papas were a very popular pop music group in the 1960s. They made music and performed from 1965 to 1968. They also had a short reunion in 1971.
The group released five albums and ten hit songs. They sold almost 40 million records all over the world. The main members were John Phillips, his wife Michelle Phillips, Dennis Doherty, and Cass Elliot.
They started in New York City in 1964. The group broke up in the early 1970s. Some of their most famous songs include California Dreamin', I Saw Her Again, and Creeque Alley.
