The Miracles facts for kids

The Miracles were a super famous R&B music group. R&B is a type of music with a strong beat and soulful singing. This group was the first really successful act for Berry Gordy's Motown Records. Motown was a very important music company.

Their song Shop Around came out in 1960. It was the first song from Motown to sell over a million copies! The Miracles became one of Motown's most important groups in the 1960s.

The group started around 1955 in Detroit. The main members were Smokey Robinson, Warren "Pete" Moore, and Ronald "Ronnie" White. They had more than 50 hit songs between 1959 and 1978. Some of their biggest hits, like Shop Around, The Tears of a Clown, and Love Machine, even reached number one on the music charts!
