The Paper Lads was a fun TV show made for kids. It was produced by Tyne Tees Television. The show was shown across the UK from 1977 to 1979. It was set in Newcastle upon Tyne, a large city in the north of England. The story followed the adventures of a group of friends. These friends were boys and a girl who delivered newspapers.
About the Show
The TV series had two seasons. Each season had seven episodes. This means there were 14 episodes in total. A writer named William Corlett wrote some of the stories. He won an award for being the best children's writer for his work on the show.
Music and Books
The main song for the show was called "Back Home Once Again." A band named Renaissance performed this song. A new version of the song was later put on their album A Song For All Seasons in 1978.
You can also find the full TV series on DVD. It was released in July 2013. Two books were also written based on the show. William Humble wrote these novels. They were published by Target Books, a company that made paperback books for children.
