The Shrimp is an exciting children's novel written by the talented author Emily Smith. This book is a part of the popular Young Corgi series, known for its engaging stories for young readers. Meet the Characters

In The Shrimp, you'll meet two main characters whose personalities are very different:

Ben Shrimpton

Ben Shrimpton is the main character of the story. He's a quiet and shy boy who really enjoys collecting unique shells. Because Ben is a bit shorter than his friends and tends to be quiet, some of the other kids started calling him "Shrimp." This nickname is a big part of his journey in the book.

Colin

Colin is another important character, and he's quite different from Ben. He comes from a very rich family and loves to tell everyone about how wealthy his family is. Colin doesn't get along with Ben and was actually the first person to start calling Ben "Shrimp."
