This book takes a classic medieval tale, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, and makes it fun for today's readers. It's all about brave knights and amazing quests from the time of King Arthur.
What the Story Is About
This book follows the adventures of Sir Gawain and his loyal squire, Terence. They go on a journey to a mysterious place called the Green Chapel. This chapel is the home of the Green Knight.
The story begins when Gawain has a strange encounter with the Green Knight. Gawain has to cut off the Green Knight's head! But the Green Knight doesn't die. Instead, he makes Gawain promise to meet him again. Gawain must let the Green Knight do the same to him exactly one year later. This meeting will happen at the Green Chapel.
