The Strange Chores is a fun Australian cartoon show that first aired on ABC Me on October 31, 2019. It was made by Charlie Aspinwall and Daley Pearson, who also created the popular show Bluey. Two companies, Ludo Studio and Media World Production, worked together to make it.
The story is about two teenage heroes, Charlie and Pierce, and a lively ghost girl named Que. They learn special skills by doing weird, supernatural chores for an old monster-slayer. Their goal is to become the next monster-slayers themselves!
Good news for fans: the show is getting a second season!

What is The Strange Chores About?
The Main Story
The show follows two teenagers, Charlie and Pierce. They find out that their "kooky neighbor," Old Man Helsing, has a house that's actually a secret door to other worlds. Helsing is a monster-slayer, but he's getting older. So, he decides to train Charlie and Pierce to take over.
A playful ghost girl named Que joins them on their adventures. Together, they complete Helsing's strange, spooky, and sometimes scary chores. These chores help them learn how to deal with all sorts of supernatural creatures and challenges.

Main Characters
- Charlie - He's brave and likes to show off. But his bravery often gets him into more trouble than he can handle!
- Pierce - Charlie's smart sidekick who helps with technology. He can get really nervous, especially about things going viral online.
- Que - She seems like a normal teenager, but she's actually an ancient Japanese ghost. She's quick and sometimes complicated, and they're still figuring her out!
- Helsing - An older monster-slayer. He decides to teach Charlie and Pierce by having them do his supernatural chores.
- Snorp - Helsing's small, green pet. He looks a bit like a dog.

Broadcast Information
The first season of The Strange Chores was first available on ABC iview on October 31, 2019. It also started airing on ABC Me on the same day. One episode, "Don't Trick or Tweet," was even shown early before the first two episodes.
In the United Kingdom and Ireland, the show aired on Pop starting November 1, 2019. This was just one day after it premiered in Australia. In 2020, the series also began broadcasting on Disney Channel (Southeast Asian TV channel).
CBC Kids in Canada started showing the series on April 11, 2020.
