The Village Church Farm is a special museum near Skegness in Lincolnshire, England. It's an "open-air" museum, which means many of its exhibits are outside! It teaches visitors about local history and how farming used to be done in the past. It was once known as Church Farm Museum.

What You Can See

The museum has several old, traditional buildings. One is a cottage with a thatched roof, made from mud and wooden posts. This cottage was moved here from a nearby village called Withern. You can also see the original farmhouse, which is over 200 years old! There is also a stable and a cowshed from the 1800s.

Inside the museum, you can find old farm tools and machines. These items show how farming changed in the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum also has displays about traditional farm animals. These include types like the Red Poll cattle and the Longwool Sheep. However, there are no live animals at the museum.

Awards and Support

In 2009, The Village Church Farm won a special award. It received the People's Choice Award at the Lincolnshire Renaissance Heritage Awards. This award showed that many people loved the museum.

After some funding cuts, a charity now helps run the museum. Many volunteers also give their time to keep it going. This support is very important for the museum to continue teaching about history.
