Theodor Hoffmann (born February 27, 1935 – died November 1, 2018) was an important military leader from East Germany. He became an Admiral, which is a very high rank in the navy. He was in charge of the People's Navy, also known as the Volksmarine. Later, he became the last Minister of National Defense for the German Democratic Republic and led the National People's Army. He was born in a place called Gustävel in Mecklenburg, Germany.
