Thomas Caesar facts for kids
Sir Thomas Caesar (1561–1610) was an English judge. He was the second son of Dr. Caesar Adelmare, who was a doctor for Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth. Thomas was also the brother of another famous person, Sir Julius Caesar.

Early Life and School
Thomas Caesar was born in 1561 in a place called Great St. Helen's, Bishopsgate. He went to the Merchant Taylors' School, which is a well-known school. He finished his studies there in 1578. Later, in October 1580, he joined the Inner Temple, which is one of the professional homes for lawyers in London.
In 1601, Thomas Caesar was chosen to be a member of Parliament for the area called Appleby. This meant he helped make laws for the country.
Becoming a Judge
Even though his early career as a lawyer wasn't very famous, Thomas Caesar became a judge. On May 26, 1610, he was made a Baron of the Exchequer. This was a special type of judge in a court that dealt with money matters for the government.
The next month, he was given the title of 'Sir' at Whitehall Palace. Sir Thomas Caesar passed away around July 18, 1610. Another judge took his place in the court a few months later.
His Family
Sir Thomas Caesar was married three times during his life. His first wife died in 1590, and their three children passed away when they were very young.
His second wife was Anne, who was the daughter of George Lynn. She had been married before. Anne and Thomas did not have any children together.
His third wife was Susan, the daughter of Sir William Ryder, who was the Lord Mayor of London in 1600. They got married on January 18, 1592. With Susan, Thomas had eight children: three sons and five daughters. All of his children with Susan were still alive when he passed away.
