His Famous Gardening Guides

One of his most famous books was the first popular English book about gardening. It was called The profitable arte of gardening. When it first came out in 1563, it had a longer title: A most briefe and pleasaunte treatyse, teachynge how to dresse, sowe, and set a garden. This book taught people how to plant and care for a garden.

He also wrote another very popular gardening book called The Gardener's Labyrinth. This book came out in 1577. It was first published under the name Didymus Mountain. But today, most people agree that Thomas Hill was the real author. In fact, a university press even reprinted this book in 1988 with Thomas Hill's name on it.
