Thomas Sotherton was the oldest son of Nicholas Sotherton and Agnes Wright. His father, Nicholas, was also from Norwich. Thomas married a woman named Elizabeth. Her father was Augustine Steward, who was also from Norwich. Thomas and Elizabeth had a big family with four sons and four daughters.
