Tiffany Willoughby-Herard is an American professor and author. She teaches in the Department of African American Studies at the University of California, Irvine. She is also the President of the National Conference of Black Political Scientists. Her work focuses on Black history and political ideas.

Willoughby-Herard has written and edited several books. Her book, Waste of a White Skin: The Carnegie Corporation and the Racial Logic of White Vulnerability, was published in 2015. She also edited a book called Theories of Blackness: On Life and Death in 2011. Many other professors have written reviews of her work in academic journals.

She has also published many articles in different journals. These articles discuss important topics about society and culture in the United States and South Africa.

Career and Leadership

Dr. Willoughby-Herard has held important roles in her field. She was the editor of the National Political Science Review from 2016 to 2019. She is also an editor for Safundi: The Journal of South African and American Studies.

In 2016, she was part of a special group for the American Political Science Association. This group worked to support women of color in the field of political science.
