Tiny Town & Railroad is a special place near Morrison, Colorado. It's a miniature village with more than 100 tiny buildings. These buildings are 1/6 the size of real ones, which means they are much smaller! The park also has a fun miniature train that you can ride.

Discovering Tiny Town's Past
How Tiny Town Started
The story of Tiny Town began in 1915. A man named George Turner, who owned a moving business in Denver, started building a small town. He built it for his daughter. At first, this tiny village was called Turnerville. It opened its doors to visitors in 1921.
Growing and Changing Over Time
Turnerville quickly became a very popular spot in Colorado. People loved visiting the miniature buildings. However, the park faced some challenges. Floods from nearby Turkey Creek sometimes caused damage. In 1935, a fire even destroyed one of the miniature buildings, an Indian pueblo.
A big change happened in 1939 when a train was added to the park. This made the experience even more exciting! With the new train, the park's name changed to Tiny Town, which it is still called today.
Focusing on Safety
In 2010, there was an incident where a train tipped over on a curve. Some people were hurt, but thankfully, everyone recovered. An investigation showed that the train operator needed more training on how to use the steam locomotive. This incident led to important changes. Tiny Town worked to improve its safety rules and make sure all operators had excellent training. Now, safety is a top priority to ensure everyone has a fun and secure visit.
