Story of Titanic 2020
This novel takes place in the year 2020. It follows a teenage boy named Jimmy Armstrong. He accidentally becomes a stowaway on a brand new, very large cruise ship. This ship is also called the Titanic. People believe it is "unsinkable," just like the first one.
Jimmy's great-grandfather was on the original RMS Titanic when it sank. During a school trip, Jimmy misses his chance to see the new Titanic. So, he decides to go back later that night to look at it by himself.
While he is exploring, the ship leaves the port. This makes Jimmy an accidental stowaway on its first trip. The ship is sailing from Belfast to Miami. A crew member soon finds Jimmy. He is taken to the Captain. Since they are far from shore, Jimmy is told he must work on the ship. He gets a job helping with the ship's newspaper, called the Titanic Times.
At the same time, a serious global event begins to unfold. This creates challenges and uncertainty for people everywhere.
