Imagine stepping onto the famous Titanic ship! The Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, lets you do just that. This amazing two-story museum looks just like the real RMS Titanic and opened its doors on April 8, 2010. It's built half the size of the original ship, making it the biggest permanent Titanic museum in the world.

Welcome Aboard the Titanic Museum!

This special museum is built in a pool. This makes it look like the Titanic is floating on the ocean. When you visit, you go on a self-guided tour that lasts about two hours. The tour is designed to make you feel like a real passenger from the Titanic's first trip in 1912.

Your Journey Begins

When you first enter the museum, you get a special boarding ticket. This ticket has the name of an actual Titanic passenger on it. It also tells you what class they were traveling in. As you explore, you will learn about the lives of many passengers and crew members. You will hear their individual stories.

What's Inside?

The museum has 400 real items from the Titanic before it was discovered. These items are displayed in twenty different rooms, called galleries. One of the most exciting parts is a perfect copy of the ship's First Class grand staircase. You can even take souvenir photos there! At the end of your visit, you will enter the Titanic Memorial Room. Here, you will find out if the passenger on your ticket survived the journey.

Building the Museum

Building this incredible museum cost about $25 million. It is a huge and detailed tribute to the famous ship and its passengers.
