Todd Hanson's Career Journey
Becoming a Writer
Todd Hanson went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison for a short time in 1986. He left college and stayed in Madison, where he started drawing a cartoon. This cartoon was called 'Badgers and Other Animals'. It appeared regularly in the Daily Cardinal, a student newspaper.
Hanson began working as a writer and cartoonist for The Onion. At that time, he was also working as a dishwasher. He wrote an article for The Onion that was considered for a movie by DreamWorks. He also helped write the movie The Onion Movie in 2008.
Voice Acting and More
Todd was part of an acting group called the Ark Improvisational Theater. This was in Madison, Wisconsin, from 1987 to 1988.
He is the voice of Dan Halen on the TV show Squidbillies. He also appeared as a guest in three episodes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. These episodes were "Interfection," "Hypno-Germ," and "Last Dance for Napkin Lad." Todd Hanson is a big fan of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. He even helped create the character Chicken Bittle.
