Tom Natsworthy is the lead protagonist of Philip Reeve's Mortal Engines Quartet trilogy.

In the first novel of the Mortal Engines Quartet (known in US as The Hungry City Chronicles), Mortal Engines, he starts with an ordinary teenager who is an apprentice historian.
