Tomas Evjen (born October 10, 1972 – died September 11, 2012) was a talented Norwegian editor, media expert, and film producer. He helped create many interesting stories and films.

Early Life and Career

Tomas Evjen started his journey in media very young. When he was just 12 years old, he appeared on Radio Saltdal. Later, he worked as a journalist for a newspaper called Nordlandsposten.

In 1996, he became the editor and general manager of Saltenposten, another newspaper. He held this important role until 2000. He also worked as a reporter for the magazine Se og Hør.

In 2001, Tomas started his own company called "News On Request AS." This company focused on media and film. He first set it up in Saltdal and later moved it to Bodø. His company even won an industry award in 2005 from Sparebanken Nord-Norge, which is a big achievement! He also became the general manager of Mediegården in Bodø.

Film Work and Achievements

Tomas Evjen was involved in making many films and short movies. One of his most famous films was Dead Snow, released in 2009. He also produced a documentary called Pappa kom hem in 2010.

Dead Snow was a very successful film. It was nominated for the Amanda award, which is a major film award in Norway. It also became one of the best-selling Norwegian films outside of Norway.

At the time of his passing, Tomas was working on an exciting new film. He was producing it with the well-known Norwegian director Nils Gaup. This film was going to be about a historical event: the miners' rebellion in Sulis.
