Tomoya Uchida (内田 智也, Uchida Tomoya, born July 10, 1983) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a midfielder.

Tomoya Uchida's Football Journey
Tomoya Uchida was born in Komono, Mie, Japan, on July 10, 1983. After finishing high school, he started his professional football career.
Starting with Yokohama FC
In 2002, Tomoya joined Yokohama FC. This team was part of the J2 League, which is Japan's second-highest football division. He quickly showed his skills and became a regular player by the summer of 2003. He played as an attacking midfielder.
Even though Yokohama FC had some tough seasons, things changed in 2006. The team won the J2 League championship! This was a huge moment. It meant Yokohama FC was promoted to the J1 League for the very first time. The J1 League is Japan's top football division.
In 2007, Tomoya played many games in the J1 League. However, Yokohama FC finished last that season. They were then moved back down to the J2 League after just one year.
Moving to Other Clubs
In 2008, Tomoya moved to a new team called Omiya Ardija. This team played in the J1 League. He stayed there for three seasons. While he didn't play every game, he still appeared in many matches.
After Omiya Ardija, he joined Ventforet Kofu in 2011. He didn't get to play as much with this team.
Returning to Yokohama FC
In 2012, Tomoya Uchida returned to Yokohama FC. It had been four years since he last played for them. The team was still in the J2 League. He played many games in 2013. However, his playing time started to decrease from 2014 onwards.
Playing in Hong Kong and Retirement
In 2017, Tomoya decided to play football in Hong Kong. He joined a team called Southern District FC. He played 11 games for them. Later that year, in September 2017, Tomoya Uchida decided to retire from professional football. He had a long career, playing in over 320 matches and scoring 23 goals.
