Tomoyoshi Ono (小野 智吉, Ono Tomoyoshi, born August 12, 1979) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a Midfielder during his career. After he stopped playing, he became an assistant manager for Yokohama FC, a club in Japan's top football league, the J1 League.

Tomoyoshi Ono's Football Journey
Tomoyoshi Ono was born in Yokohama, Japan, on August 12, 1979. He began his professional football career in 1998.
Starting with Shonan Bellmare
After finishing high school, Ono joined a team called Bellmare Hiratsuka in 1998. This team later changed its name to Shonan Bellmare. He played his first games in 1998 and became an important midfielder for the team in 1999.
However, in 2000, his club was moved down to a lower league, the J2 League. Tomoyoshi Ono did not play any matches that year. He left the club at the end of the 2000 season.
Playing for Yokohama FC
After taking a break from football for a year, Ono joined his hometown club, Yokohama FC, in 2002. He played many roles for the team, not just as a midfielder but also as a side defender.
In 2006, Yokohama FC had a fantastic season. They won the championship in the J2 League. This win meant the team was promoted to the J1 League, Japan's highest football division, for the 2007 season.
However, playing time became harder to get for Ono in the J1 League. Yokohama FC was moved back down to the J2 League after just one year. Tomoyoshi Ono continued to play for Yokohama FC until he decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2010 season.
