Thomas Paul "Tompall" Glaser (born September 3, 1933 – died August 12, 2013) was an American country music singer. He was a big part of the "outlaw country" music style, which was popular in the 1970s.

Tompall Glaser was born in Spalding, Nebraska, a small town in the United States. He grew up on a farm.
Early Music Career
In the 1950s, Tompall Glaser started recording music as a solo artist. Later, he formed a music group with his two brothers, Chuck and Jim. Their group was called Tompall & the Glaser Brothers.
In 1962, Tompall and his brothers performed alongside famous singer Patsy Cline. They shared the stage at The Mint casino in Las Vegas.
Becoming an Outlaw Country Star
Tompall Glaser had a very popular solo song called "Put Another Log on the Fire." This song reached number 21 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart in 1975.
Tompall was also featured on a famous album called Wanted! The Outlaws. He appeared on this album with other well-known country artists like Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Jessi Colter.
In the 1970s, Tompall Glaser's recording studio in Nashville was a very important place. It was known as "Hillbilly Central." This studio was seen as the main hub for the new "Outlaw country" music movement. Tompall, along with Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson, were key figures in creating this new style of country music.
Later Life
Tompall Glaser passed away on August 12, 2013, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was 79 years old and had been ill for some time. He was survived by his wife, June Johnson Glaser. His brothers, Jim and Chuck, passed away a few years later.
