Tomtemaskinen (which means "The Santa Machine") was a special TV show in Sweden. It was the Sveriges Television's Christmas calendar for 1993. This fun series was based on the popular books about Pettson and Findus by Sven Nordqvist.
The Story of Tomtemaskinen
In Tomtemaskinen, we meet the old inventor Pettson and his clever cat, Findus. Findus really wants Santa Claus to visit them for Christmas. Pettson, wanting to make Findus happy, promises that Santa will come. But how will Santa get there? Pettson decides to build an amazing "Santa Machine" to make sure Christmas is special!

If you missed Tomtemaskinen the first time, don't worry! The show was played again, or 'rerun', on SVT 2. This happened between September 12 and November 9 in 1998.
How to Watch It at Home
You could also watch Tomtemaskinen at home! The series was first released on VHS tapes in 1997 by Independent Entertainment. Later, it became available on DVD thanks to Pan Vision.
