Anthonie "Tonny" van der Linden (born November 29, 1932 – died June 23, 2017) was a famous Dutch football player. He was a forward, which means he played in the front of the team to score goals. Tonny played for two big clubs in the Eredivisie, which is the top football league in the Netherlands: DOS and Elinkwijk.
In 1958, he helped his team, DOS, win the Eredivisie title. This was a huge achievement! Tonny also played for the Netherlands national team. Between 1957 and 1963, he played 24 games for his country and scored 17 goals. Tonny van der Linden passed away on June 23, 2017, when he was 84 years old.
