The Ministry of Tourism (Hebrew: מִשְׂרַד הַתַּיָּרוּת, romanized: Misrad HaTayarut) is an important office in the Government of Israel. The Ministry was started in 1964. The very first minister was Akiva Govrin. For a few years, between 1977 and 1981, it was part of another ministry, the Trade and Industry Ministry.
