What's the Story of Trebein?

Trebein got its start a long time ago. A post office was opened there in 1878. This post office helped people send and receive mail until 1910.

The community was named after a person named F. C. Trebein. He owned a mill and another business in the area.

Over the years, Trebein has been called by a few different names. Some of these names included Beaver, Beaver Station, Frost Station, and even Pinkneyville. It was also sometimes called Trebins or Treibeins.
