Trenton Lee Stewart (born May 27, 1970) is an American writer. He is famous for his book series, The Mysterious Benedict Society. Stewart went to Hendrix College and the Iowa Writers' Workshop. He lives in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Trenton Lee Stewart was born on May 27, 1970. He grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas. His parents are Jerry and Sandi Stewart.
In 1992, Stewart earned a degree in English from Hendrix College. Later, he went to the Iowa Writers' Workshop. There, he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing in 1995.
Stewart taught writing at different places. He taught at the Iowa Summer Writing Festival. He also taught at Miami University of Ohio. In 2006, he moved back to Arkansas.
His Books and Series
Stewart's first novel was Flood Summer, published in 2005. His second book, The Mysterious Benedict Society, came out in 2007. This book was very popular. It stayed on The New York Times Best Seller list for over a year.
He wrote two more books in The Mysterious Benedict Society series:
- The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey (2008)
- The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Prisoner's Dilemma (2009)
Both of these books also became bestsellers.
In 2012, a book called The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict was released. This book tells a story that happened before the first book in the series. It was also a bestseller.
In 2016, Stewart published The Secret Keepers. This is a stand-alone novel for young readers. It also became a bestseller.
Stewart's latest book in the series is The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Riddle of Ages. It was published on September 24, 2019.
Other Work
Trenton Lee Stewart also creates crosswords. Some of his crosswords have appeared in The New York Times.
