Trevor Herion, whose real name was John Trevor Herion, was an Irish singer and songwriter. He was born in Cork, Ireland, around April 1959 and passed away on October 1, 1988. Trevor was an important part of the punk and new wave music scenes during the 1970s and 1980s. He later started a solo music career.

Trevor Herion's Music Journey

In the late 1970s, Trevor was the lead singer for a local band called "The B-52s". They later changed their name to "The Puritans" because there was already a famous American band with a similar name. The band wasn't able to get a recording contract (a deal with a music company), so they broke up.

Soon after, Trevor was asked to join a new wave band called The Civilians. In this band, he was the lead singer. The Civilians released two singles: Made for Television/I See My Friends in November 1979 and In America/In Search of Pleasure in September 1980. After these releases, the band split up.

Around 1980 or 1981, Trevor Herion teamed up again with Paul Simon (who was the drummer from The Civilians). They formed a new band called the Fallout Club. Other members included Thomas Dolby and Matthew Seligman. The Fallout Club released three singles: "Falling Years"/"The Beat Boys", "Dream Soldiers", "Pedestrian Walkway", and "Wonderlust"/"Desert Song" in 1981.

After the Fallout Club broke up, Trevor Herion started his solo career. He released several singles and a studio album called Beauty Life in 1983. This album was produced by Steve Levine, who was well-known for working with the band Culture Club. The artwork for Beauty Life and its singles was designed by Peter Saville, a famous graphic designer. However, there were disagreements about how one of the songs was mixed, which led to Steve Levine removing his name from the album.
