Triette Lipsey Reeves (born August 22, 1963) is an American politician and minister from Michigan. She has served in the Michigan House of Representatives and on the Detroit city council.

Triette Reeves' Early Life
Triette E. Lipsey was born on August 22, 1963, in Detroit, Michigan. She grew up in Detroit and graduated from Redford High School in 1982.
Triette Reeves' Education
Triette Reeves attended Michigan State University. There, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Her studies focused on public administration.
Triette Reeves' Career in Politics
Triette Reeves began her career helping out in politics. She worked as a Legislative Aide for Teola P. Hunter. Hunter was a member of the Michigan House of Representatives for District 5.
First Time in the Michigan House
In January 1992, Teola P. Hunter resigned from her position. Triette Reeves then ran for the open seat. On November 3, 1992, Reeves won a special election. She became a Democratic member of the Michigan House of Representatives for District 5.
Serving on the Detroit City Council
After her first term in the state House, Reeves served the city of Detroit. From 1995 to 1998, she was a member of the Detroit city council. This role allowed her to work on local issues.
Return to the Michigan House
Triette Reeves returned to the Michigan House of Representatives in 1998. On November 3, 1998, she won the election for District 13. She won with a large majority of the votes.
As an incumbent, Reeves ran for re-election in 2000. On November 7, 2000, she won again. She continued to represent District 13.
Representing a New District
In 2002, Reeves ran for a different district. On November 5, 2002, she won the election for District 10. She served as a Democratic member for this district. Her term in the Michigan House of Representatives ended in 2004.
Triette Reeves' Personal Life
In 1995, Triette Lipsey married Alando Reeves. They have three children together. Triette Reeves and her family live in Detroit, Michigan. Besides her political work, Reeves also became a minister for the Mount Zion Church in 1995.
