Trout Fishing in America is an American music group made up of two talented musicians. They play a mix of folk rock and children's music. Folk rock is a style of music that often uses acoustic instruments and tells stories. Children's music is, of course, made especially for kids!

The duo includes Keith Grimwood, who plays bass guitar and sings, and Ezra Idlet, who plays guitars, banjo, and also sings. They chose their unique name from a book called Trout Fishing in America by Richard Brautigan. They release their music through their very own record label, called Trout Music.

Their Unique Sound

Trout Fishing in America's music is known for being fun and easy to relate to. A newspaper article from 1995 said their songs are "not too serious" and often "make people laugh." They don't try to teach lessons in a boring way. Instead, they sing about things that kids can understand or find funny.

Keith Grimwood once shared why they started making more music for children. Teachers who came to their early shows really liked their songs. They encouraged the duo to perform for their students. This led Trout Fishing in America to create many popular albums for families.
